Europe 2005 Ulcinj Digs

Ulcinj is a town in southern Montenegro. Never heard of Montenegro? Neither had I. But Ulcinj was really neat. It sat on the Adriatic Sea and my room was about a block from the beach. It was another of those 10 Euro rooms I found all over the area which was once the former Yugoslavia. Ulcinj has a population of 10,000 and was supposedly founded sometime in the 5th century B.C. Ulcinj has a nice castle and a wonderful old town and is another one of those strange places where time seems to stand still. 11/2005
